There was a suitor way, way back in my freshman year of college. He was self-important, in a witty way. A smarty, yes... a slick and polished guy. I liked him but I had a boyfriend. After the summer when I broke up with my boyfriend, i half-expected that I would promote Slick&Polished to boyfriend status. I have a lot more to say about him, but for now, I just want to attest to two things: (1) Nothing ever happened between us in college or since and (2) I haven't heard from him in about 8 years....

And then, all of a sudden, i get a message via MySpacester. It came from some cheery-looking girl. So there was no rush to open the message. Then, today, I opened it, and here's what it said:

No, I'm not posing as this 22 year old girl - I'm not a cop and I'm not a cross dresser, despite what those other guys told you...I left my job in traditional television to start my own micro-format game show called *****, and this is my host ...henceforth, ipso facto, and therefore - this is our MySpacester presence.

Let's talk about me for a second...I've been in LA since 2000. I typed in the name of our college tonight into this thing - and, well - here ya go...

So there you have it, folks. I was kind of excited to see his message, as you can tell. So I wrote back and updated him on my life too. He's probably all into promoting his show, so then, whatever.

In other news, I'm going to Mini-man's party tonight. I liked to joke that he's turning 5 feet today, but that's a really cruel joke. I'll probably bring along some kind of card or other. Not sure, really, just not sure.

One more piece of suitor gossip is that I was on the phone with Hyde and we were talking about the Wizard sighting. I was telling her that he makes my knuckles ache, and usually that's how I know i'm in love with someone. (It could be some kind of pre-arthritic condition, but I associate it with love.) Well, He beeped into her call-waiting when we were talking about him. Hyde thinks that Wiz was obsessing about me, and then decided to call her. I am not sure about the whole thing. But it's true that I still have something for him, we don't know what.

Last item on the agenda: a nice suitor, from the Internet. He seems kind of muscley, so I guess his name will be MuscleGuy II (see Hyde's blog for MG the original). MG II seems nice enough, and his pictures were cute. He is somewhat of a people-pleaser, too, which is important if you're actually trying to date someone.

Now going to my FAVORITE PIZZA PLACE, Bleecker Street Pizza.
