Nice Matin, or Nice Morning...

My parents are here, asleep in my bed, and the noise level is "just right"-- usually in the mornings there is a lot of noise because of construction.

Last night we ate at one of my favorite Manhattan restaurants, Nice Matin

It was very nice, and I enjoyed a French martini as a cocktail, and then fava-bean tortellini in butter sauce as an appetizer and veal cutlets in some kind of garlic sauce over spinach for the main meal. Then we shared a "cookie plate" and I got a cappucino to finish. Delish!

There was a sudden rainstorm that lasted during dinner and so we ran over to a sports bar to watch the Suns lose to Dallas by 7 points. Oh well, it was only Game 2. yesterday was spent pleasantly running errands for my apartment. It's cute how involved my parents are in getting me "settled." My dad was obsessed with getting me a proper butter dish. And I was obsessed with getting some kind of mechanism (anything really) to prevent my bed from rolling around. (It's frustrating....!)

My text book came in the mail for the class I'm going to teach and so I must read it now.

There are a few good internet boys on the horizon. I realized that I have to search and contact the ones I like, and that reduces the chances of horribly nerdy or mean encounters. One boy in particular could be good... but I won't speak too soon....

Comments:
It sounds like you had a nice night. I'm sorry I missed dinner with your parents, but I really needed the DT. You'll have to update me on the suitor-horizons later...

love,

Eating out in Manhattan and a few days ago you only had $300. dollars.

I love it how the rich complain about having no money.

Ah, but Mystic, you missed the phrase "my parents are in town." With parents around, you are always fed - often in the manner in which they are accustomed. Or perhaps this is just my experience.

Hammer - are you like me and think if you want something too much you will jinx it?

Hammerman,

You can request different inserts for your bed at any furniture store. It's simple: You just pull the wheels out and stick in the inserts that don't move. Inquire at your local bed store. They can help you.
