A whole new world....
The paint is fresh and the floors are glossy. The sounds are different and boxes are everywhere!
I'm in my new apartment, and there's a lot of work to do, but it's very exciting nonetheless. The move went fine, and I got the movers out within 3 hours, making the cost $200 all-told. Artsy was over for several hours yesterday painting the apartment and we were bonding about my ex-roommates, life-philosophies on suicide and mental health, hernias, older man-younger woman couples, attitudes toward money and work, and (even so) painting too. He's a very cool guy. I'm glad that we have become friends.
I found out that Sing-man's velcro-removable brace on his lower back may be a thing to hold in his hernia. (gross). On Sing-man: I didn't contact him in the middle of my move. I realize that he's only human, and he's probably super-insecure about me. Or perhaps he's not letting himself get so close. Either way, I'm a little annoyed at the way he cuts off... As psycho-speak would have it, he "may regulate intimacy differently than I do." In any case, I found it a little odd that I got the following text message from him yesterday morning: "Hi how are you seems like youve forgotten me already hows the apt"
As I wrote to Hyde, it's poetic justice, har=har!!!! Funny that he thought that I forgot him. Strange how he would think that it's my job to contact him.... Very very strange. Another weird thing that I was thinking about was a conversation he had with me the other night. "Why is it that I *always* date dancers?" He asked. But that wasn't enough.... "No, I'm serious, you have no idea how many dancers I've gone out with." He went on to explain about this one and that one. I thought this was weird. Enough, it's not so cool to mention other girls like that, and to take one element of my personality (the dancer element) and extrapolate it onto all of these others that he has known. End of sing-man speech.
Well, I'm going to weed through my boxes. But I thought that you maybe could help me with a conundrum I'm having: one tv or two?
I have 2 tvs, one is large, like 26" and the other is small with a VCR attached. My apartment is small, doI really need both? I'm sentimental about the small one becuase my brother gave it to me, and it's good to have a vcr for my yoga videos. THe large one is Sooooooo bulky, but the screen is good for watching movies with friends. My place will be filled with books and i want to minimize furniture. Should I keep both tvs?
